I must say, that’s a spot on analysis.CardsofSTL wrote: ↑February 22 25, 1:26 amThinking further on this...since the average family is 3.15 people; if you only have three chickens and they are producing at an average capacity; you are likely only getting 2 eggs per day; sometimes 3. So 1 to 1.15 people are without eggs or even worse three people are sharing two eggs. Whereas in my domain the six chickens are producing more than 3 eggs per day even on a slow day and therefore we are all well and properly egged. So it holds true...in the land of the bird flu, a man with six chickens is king.cardinalkarp wrote: ↑February 21 25, 8:07 amThat sure is a fine line between king and pauper. Guess you can’t have your eggs and eat them too.CardsofSTL wrote: ↑February 21 25, 8:01 amA pauper.cardinalkarp wrote: ↑February 21 25, 7:59 amLmao, what does 3 chickens make me?CardsofSTL wrote: ↑February 21 25, 7:57 amIn the land of the bird flu, a man with six chickens is king.
It could be worse than a three chicken pauper though...one could be a no chicken peasant. That would be the worst.

It makes no difference if you put them all in one basket.

Re: Random musings
So I was defending the deposition yesterday of my engineering expert in one of my cases, and was just making small talk with him. I was in the very very small town in North Texas, and this guy is from there. I ask him if he grew up around there, and he said no, he grew up in East St. Louis. I probably looked at him like he was a dodo bird. First of all, like 10 people still reside in East St Louis, and second of all, this dude is as white as the driven snow.
Anyway, I ask him if he's a Cards fan, and he's like "of course I am!" and I just exclaim "my man!" and give him a high five. We agreed it's gonna be a rough year, then he did a great job in his deposition explaining how my client, the city, has ample sewer plant capacity to serve the plaintiff's proposed 4500 house (!!!) subdivision.

Things that absolutely grind my gears: when you try to warn somebody about something bad that’s going to happen, they don’t listen but tell you “well if you’re right you can gloat about it later” and then get mad when you gloat about it later when you’re right. I agreed to your terms!

Correction: they get mad AND blame you (“the left”). Every democrat walking around like Tim Robinson wearing the hot dog costume right now.MrCrowesGarden wrote: ↑March 13 25, 9:52 amThings that absolutely grind my gears: when you try to warn somebody about something bad that’s going to happen, they don’t listen but tell you “well if you’re right you can gloat about it later” and then get mad when you gloat about it later when you’re right. There will never be an apology either; doing so means they’d have to admit they were both wrong AND a jerk about being wrong.thrill wrote: ↑March 14 25, 10:19 amCorrection: they get mad AND blame you (“the left”). I accidentally said something to my dog in the same cadence and tone I use when I ask him if he wants to go for a walk and now he won’t stop staring at me like I’m the meanest person on earth. We just went for one like an hour ago!

Sent this picture to a plumber I work with of some stuff that needs to be capped off and he was like, hey man did you notice that snake. I had no idea.
