I'm so amazed at the Blues accomplishments, and feel we'll do real damage in the playoffs

The great eight did it. One more goal than Gretzky in the same number of games.

Ovechkin stands alone at the peak.

While I never thought it would happen, Gretzky is still the GOAT. Look at his assists. Ovi doesn't hold a candle to how truly dynamic Gretzky was.

I agree on Gretzky as the GOAT, (I don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of comparing eras and teammates. I’m content to just say both are generational and iconic) but I think we can still appreciate the achievement, and recognize that ovechkin is, essentially, as prolific a goal scorer as the great one. That’s a hell of an achievement. Even our golden Brett couldn’t match Gretzky.

Page finally updated.

For fun: bolduc has scored 6 goals in his last 9 games, a 54-55 goal pace.

At that pace it would take over 16 full 82 game seasons to break the new record.

That’s greatness.

Another way to look at that chart, if you took all of Gordie Howe’s 1049 assists, over 1767 career games (21.5 full 82 game seasons), and added them to Ovechkin’s point total, he would still only be 2nd all-time in points. THAT’s greatness.

Gretzky has more assists than ovechkin has points… and it’s not even close.

Incredible.

The streak ends with a 3-1 loss in Winnipeg.

On to Edmonton.

Winnipeg was pretty clearly the better team tonight, but that was without Parayko and Holloway. They imposed their will on us for long stretches. I'm not sure how we'd fare in a 7 game series against them, even with P & H back.
