Burrows made 19 starts for the Pirates last season but the Cardinals still have not seen him. He was part of the 3 team trade with the Pirates, Rays and Astros that sent Brandon Lowe to Pittsburgh.

The Astros DFA'd pitcher J.P. France (appeared in Game 1) yesterday and claimed outfielder Dustin Harris off waivers from the White Sox.

Astros completed a couple more moves just this morning:

Joey Loperfido (OF) has gone on the IL; pitcher Jayden Murray has been recalled from AAA.

In a trade with the Yankees, the Astros acquire IF Braden Shewmake for minor league pitcher Wilmy Sanchez. Shewmake was on the Yankees AAA team but has a small amount of big league time with the Braves and White Sox.
