Maybe a newer tractor could do that? I don't know how old your current tractor is, but it doesn't sound too old.
Absolutely. I was on a team supporting wireless lighting networks and we built that into every network controller we sold. Not hard to do at all assuming the field he was in was within earshot of a cell tower. Which from the story, it was.

It's a 2013 model. I don't know if newer ones do that or not.
