Imagine the meltdown if we had traded him this offseason and watched him do this somewhere else.

It feels like we've been waiting/dreaming on him for so long, it's hard to believe he's still only 23!

After being disappointed by Gorman, Carlson, DeJong and others who had great expectations and poor results for whatever reasons I had come to expect the same from Walker.

I love the progress we have seen, but really need to see him pass the next month or so of pitcher adjustments to confirm if this is likely permanent or if its going to be fleeting.Spider John wrote: ↑May 4 26, 11:43 amAfter being disappointed by Gorman, Carlson, DeJong and others who had great expectations and poor results for whatever reasons I had come to expect the same from Walker.
I know it may not a great comparison but i have always compared Walker with Jo Adell. Both were top top prospects, rushed to the majors before their time, was basically unplayable for a good while, lots of power in an athletic body. I wanted to see if Adell has a stretch similar to what we have seen from Walker. Last year that was a 34 game stretch where Adell hit 13 HRs, .311/.393/664 with 31K to 12 BB. Walker is at 33 games 10 HR, .307/.373/.591. So in the same ballpark, but just need to see him ride this out another 30 games or so.

The Joe Adell comparison is a good one. Highly touted and never lived up to it, until he became a good player last year.
