ML Debut

Brycen Mautz is a 24 year old LHP who will be making his ML debut for the Cardinals today; who chose to reset their pitching with the doubleheader on Saturday. The move pushes Liberatore back a day, giving him extra rest before the series with Milwaukee.

Mautz posted a 2.90 ERA this season in Memphis with 43 strikeouts in 40.1 innings.

Matt Svanson was optioned to Memphis to make room for Mautz.

Ryan Fernandez, who was the 27th man in the doubleheader Saturday, was also sent back to Memphis on paper but is expected to remain with the team and take Mautz' roster spot on Monday.
