Fly out to LF and now it takes a 2 out hit from Blaze.

Kind of a muted ovation for Blaze' first hometown at bat.

Giolito had failed to go 5 innings in his last few starts and is now into the game after Peralta did the opening.

Wonder if the Cardinals should try that for the non-five innings starters on the crew...not sure who would be a good opener though.
Boston tried it with Brayan Bello and finally sent him to AAA. Leahy might benefit from an opener.

Seems like a lot of teams are having trouble on offense this year.
Outfielder offense has been for at least a couple of years. Currently, only 28 qualified OF'rs in all of MLB have an OPS of .750 or better.(That's less than 1 per team!)

3rd base position overall has really been bad. For all the grief we gave Gorman, of all 3B-men, his .194 BA ranks 17th, 26 RBI ranks 18th, his .597 OPS has him ranking 18th. Not far from middle of the pack!

I haven't even looked at the other positions, but it already seems to be an indictment on the state of offense throughout MLB.

Burly gets robbed of a homer. Needed a little more butter on that biscuit.
