I’d be cool with Perron as a 1 year deal and then retire to give carbo time to season at AHL. We need another RH shot.
As far as who’s available in their prime, Mavrik Bourque is the only one who I’m really interested in. Another RH and can play C. Dallas shopping my him as he’s a RFA and they’re needing cap space.

Headed to NAS with Lyubushkin for only a 2nd round pick in 27 and 28? Hmmm

Blues sign Ross Johnston; first I love the move as he can skate an fight/we've been needing for awhile
but it's reported 3 years/6 mil? I know the cap is going up quite a bit, but 2 mil annual for a guy we know who's only going to play in half the games and is strictly an enforcer?

Does seem like a lot for Johnston - especially to lock him in for 3 years.
Schwartz went to the Avs for 3 yrs. x $3.25 AAV. That would have felt like a better investment.

Dube signs his anticipated contract; it’s a 1 year/1 way deal for 850k
Obv some may have issues due to the obv off ice issue
Have a TON of bodies in camp, so a few are gonna have to go somewhere/sometime

Did we need Johnston or Dube?
That’s not exactly starting out the steen era with a bang. (Not that I expected any signings other than our own rfas)
Makes me wonder if a big move is brewing.

Yeah there’s gotta be something coming, right?
Tons of bottom 6 guys under contract and not enough room

Big move for who though? I don’t think the Blues are giving up any of their top 6. You aren’t going to be able to trade anyone from the bottom 6 other than maybe Suter - but that doesn’t seem very smart. Just seems like a logjam of forwards. I would have rather signed one guy who could challenge for a top 6 spot if the opportunity arises.
Maybe the city of St. Louis passed some sort of ordinance in 2020 that the local sports teams could only sign roster filler free agents.
