Over the last day of 2011 or the Freese game? Over no hitters, WS, and perfectos? Really Chip?

All of those are special and some clearly have more significance.Joe Shlabotnik wrote: ↑August 15 26, 6:18 pmOver the last day of 2011 or the Freese game? Over no hitters, WS, and perfectos? Really Chip?
However, his call is linked to something that has never happened and possibly won’t happen again for another 100+ years. Pretty big moment.

Was there at Wrigley today for this historic performance.

I mean Chip was a gun for hire anyway. I think he was calling Braves games when that other stuff went on for the Cards.
Not a big fan of his, but it makes sense to me.

yup - remember that Atlanta was involved with the Cards in that wild Wild Card finish on the last day of the 2011 season involving both leagues. That day was pretty historic - enough that a book was written about it. Don't think a book will be written about today's game. But its subjective anyway. I pick 2011 over today but whatever.ghostrunner wrote: ↑August 15 26, 7:27 pmI mean Chip was a gun for hire anyway. I think he was calling Braves games when that other stuff went on for the Cards.

Was in the bleachers today (one section over from his 2nd HR) with my son for his first game at Wrigley. As we live on the East Coast we try to make it to one series between camp and school and this one was it. Was just as memorable as watching Freese Game 6 from the outfield stands with my dad in STL. Best part of baseball is that you can see history every day!Richie Allen wrote: ↑August 15 26, 3:05 pmWrigley Stadium?
I just wanted to note that I was here, on GRB, for the Joshua Baez Game.

Chip seems like a nice guy. I don’t know. Just a guess. But he tries to be one of us when it comes to Cardinals fandom and it doesn’t ring true. That’s the real issue.
