I really dont have a choice here. I'm not a fan of sitting in front of my computer and watching a baseball game so I will be moving to DirectTv if this deal goes through. Being in Philly I wont be satisfied watching the Cards when they play the Phillies and Cubs. I do have MLB radio so I can listen to the games but I only use this on the weekends when the EI is not on. I need my Cardinal fix on a daily basis so unfortunately I will be moving to Directtv but doing it reluctantly... :evil:

Sounds good Phillycard. I don't think I'm going to make the switch to Direct tv. I'll decide sometime mid-March for sure.

Does anybody know if you can hook up two monitors to a computer and only watch the game or a movie, etc. on one?

I have two monitors set up but I don't really know what you're asking.

Are you wondering if there is a limitation that prevents you from only doing one of the two at the same time?

That is EXACTLY how I feel about it as well. I caught myself thinking about buying MLB.TV, and then I quickly came to my senses! No more extra money to MLB at all other than tickets to the games for me from here on out, or until cable customers are able to view it again. I hope my Pujols jersey still fits in 7 years! :D

The chairman added that he understood the package had been available to 75 million cable and satellite viewers for the past several years, and would only be viewable by DirecTV customers if a deal were signed.

"I am concerned whenever consumers cannot purchase the programming they want or are forced to purchase programming they don't want," Martin wrote.

DirecTV has never confirmed that the widely reported deal even exists. Robert Mercer, director of public relations for DirecTV, declined to comment late Thursday.

Martin wrote that the agency has "contacted the parties and requested additional information about their proposed arrangement. Once we have this information, we will report to you on the deal's implications for consumers and any recommended changes to the law to ameliorate any harms to consumers."
