Base hit Kubel, Punto strikes out swinging and Yadi throws out Kubel stealing, base hit Mike Redmond, fly ball to right for Michael Cuddyer. Tough inning, but unscathed for Kip Wells.

Lead-off double down the 3B line for Scott Skip!

3 straight singles from Morneau, Williams, and Span to open the inning to load the bases with no one out, but Tommy Watkins hits it back to Kip for a double play(out at home, out at first), then strikes out Alexi Casilla. *phews*

Walking the tightrope today. 5 Hits allowed thus far, all singles, but no runs through 2 IP.

So far in the Twins' half of the second:

Top 2ND B:0 S:0 O:0
Justin Morneau singles on a ground ball to right fielder John Rodriguez.

Top 2ND B:0 S:0 O:0
Glenn Williams singles on a line drive to right fielder John Rodriguez. Justin Morneau to 2nd.

Top 2ND B:0 S:0 O:0
Denard Span singles on a ground ball to left fielder Chris Duncan. Justin Morneau to 3rd. Glenn Williams to 2nd.

Top 2ND B:0 S:0 O:2
Tommy Watkins grounds into double play, pitcher Kip Wells to catcher Yadier Molina to first baseman Albert Pujols. Justin Morneau out at home. Glenn Williams to 3rd. Denard Span to 2nd.

Wells doesn't seem to be missing many bats today (5 hits). I don't know if the pitch count is accurate either--it lists him as having thrown only 10 pitches so far.
