The projection disk has Pineiro, and a 5+ ERA. In general, the projections for the Red Sox bullpen are really bad, which may explain the gap between them and the Blue Jays. It will be interesting to see Tippet's commentary on this. With that much of a gap, I doubt that his projections will have Boston competing in that division either.

Off the wall prediction with no substance, but A. Benitez will be in Boston in May.

not totally off the wall

And if he's in Boston by May, I predict that he's under fire in Boston by May as well.

At least my mind still has decent baseball wavelengths.

I'm a little surprised to see the Dodgers so low, but not shocked. The Mets really don't surprise me much. Their rotation could be messy.

Other than that, especially the NL Central, everything looks about normal.

What did you think of the AL East with Toronto and Boston being flip flopped in my mind? DMB hates the Sox pen.

Didn't surprise me all that much. I'm not as optimistic about the Sox offense as others might be. Julio Lugo is an upgrade from what they had at SS, but he's an average offensive SS. There will always always always be questions about Drew's durability. Coco Crisp has now spent half his career floating between 78 and 84 in OPS+. Varitek is probably due a rebound, but when it comes to 35-year old catchers, there are no guarantees. And that's without even going into the bullpen.
