So if I were Rose, I'd have bet against them every night and tried my darndest to win; thus, I find that interesting.
True, but if he bet on them to lose, then he would be accused of tanking games in favor of money.

Of course, but I assumed that's just another reason why he kept it a secret.

I'm not sure there is any reason to believe he is telling the truth now.

There isn't.

No one knows better than a baseball manager that you can't win em all and you can't lose em all. A guy like him would want to win money every time he made a bet. He probably used his first hand knowledge of his team and their opponent (pitching matchups, injuries, etc.) and bet accordingly. And perhaps he managed the games he had bet to lose to encourage that result.

Put him in the Hall. Judge his career on the field. For that he deserves to be in the Hall. This BS has gone on for too long. The whole steroid thing may just get him a shot. If Costas were commish, he'd be on the ballot.

I don't see the comparison. Rose is the All-Time Hits leader and played for much longer than Jackson.

I also don't think Jackson deserves to be in the Hall regardless of the scandal.
