The Cards brought a few of the minor-leaguers on the trip with them. That's why Esposito and Pagnozzi are the catchers today (Marrero was supposed to catch, but said his elbow was sore after warmups) and why Rico Washington was pinch-hitting for Springer there.

The problem is that the microphones are too close to them. Whoever's running the game audio should simply turn down the crowd mike a bit.

Well, there we go - and we've scored 3 runs in 3 games since that 13-run outburst against the Dodgers on Tuesday night. Oh well. I just wish we could have scored in the 9th so Thompson could get his inning in.
