The gun only worked the first couple innings but in that time he threw 21 fastballs that registered. The speeds were:
88-2
89-4
90-6
91-5
92-1
93-3
It appeared he could dial it up on demand. He got roughed up but his stuff was good.
Also, Chris Perez is currently the best BP pitcher in the Cardinal organization. Majors and minors. No gun but he was throwing smoke. Easily mid 90's with a great slider. Looked harder than Dove. He'll be in StL sometime this year.

Just wanted to comment on your avatar. Reyes' arm angle looks brutal here. His elbow is going to be toast in about 5 years. Not sayin, just sayin. (I know this has been discussed before!)

This is the first good look I've gotten at him so I don't have anything to compare it too. He definitely needs to work on his breaking pitches (like Duncan said). His fastball is ready for the majors. Barring injury this is our next closer. All the talent's there.greenback44 wrote:Has Perez's command improved at all?
