I don't know if you could see this on the broadcast but grown men (including myself) had tears in their eyes when Musial was introduced.

That was awesome! I missed out on all of this because the freakin' Cavs game ran over.

I am SO glad that Stan could be there for such an auspicious day.

Ozzie had a "Previous engagement". I find it interesting that Hernandez (a Met for life) accepted the invitation to participate but Ozzie was too busy.

He's dead to me. He brings shame to the name "Smith".

I looked into this -- nothing sinister, nothing to do with La Russa.
He's out of town, doing something he committed to do nearly a year ago, and when the Cardinals' home opener was moved from a Monday to Sunday, a scheduling conflict was created, and he couldn't break his word to be where he's supposed to be on Sunday.

I had a tear in my eyes for the Musial introduction. Absolutely incredible. The fly over also gave me chills down my spine.
