Our nation's obesity problem can be traced back to the country's worship of proud binger Babe Ruth. He continues his assault on the health of the USA with his candy bar. Meanwhile Ted Williams pioneers in new scientific fields like Cryogenics.

To summarize:

Babe Ruth wants you dead by age 45 from a heart attack

Ted Williams wants you to live forever.

Are people just voting against the Babe because they know he'll win and they want to have fun? Or are there any legit reasons for picking Teddy over Ruth?
The Splinter wasn't a Yankee.

And the Splinter was a man's man. The dude oozed testosterone.

That's all I got, though. Besides, I knew it would be benign (i.e. one vote for the Splinter wasn't going to tip this thing) AND if everyone can vote for Bob Freakin' Gibson over Roger Clemens, then I can vote for the Splinter over the Babe.

Hey - I didn't know Borat was in that band!

And someone remind me - what was Teddy Ballgames ERA again? And how many WS games did he win?

Teddy was the greatest hitter of them all, but the Babe is the greatest player ever hands down.

You would be too if you saw the unspeakable things he saw when he took 3 years out of the prime of his life and career to go fight the terrorists.
So Babe Ruth didn't give hope to millions of Americans during the Depression?

Or inspire the great 70's rock band of the same name?

I'd love to see a 1-64 ranking of players from this tourney. It'll be a hoot to see Clemens at the bottom of the list.
