Twins or Cubs. Several close friends are fans of either.

I never had any kind of dislike for the Cubs like so many Cards fans do. As a youngun I hated the Pirates because of the double B's. Then moved on to hating the Braves for awhile before settling on the Astros for the majority of my fandom.

I have so many Cub friendly friends in Chicago that I would love to be there for a WS.

If the World Series came down to the Cubs vs. an All-Star Team drafted from the pits of hell and lead by Beelzebub in all of his goat-hooved, forked tail glory; I'd be pulling for the guys with pitchforks.

Just sayin'

It looks like you've been here for a few days, but I just want to extend a warm welcome to someone with a little perspective.

I wonder how much I'd hate the Cubs if they actually won something ... tough to imagine.

Oakland: just because Beane deserves at least one WS out of this era.

Minnesota: Same reason.

Cleveland: I like the core of their team.

Mets: I like the core of their team.

Padres: Because i'm a fan of Peavy.

Tigers: I like solid pitching teams.

I've been a bit of an Indians fan for a few years now. I also like the A's and Twins.

As long as that loud mouthed moron Guillen, the Cubs, and both New York teams miss out , I'll be fine with whoever gets in to be honest. It'll be tough to keep either NY team out this year, I'm afraid...

If St. Louis doesn't go, I could care less who wins - unless, of course, the Cubs or Astros go. I'll then root for whoever is playing them.

FWIW, I barely noticed the 2005 World Series.

My favorite American city is Boston, my favorite ballpark is Fenway. Red Sox all the way if the Cards can't do it.
