Well... I'd almost guarantee that it's an arbitration-avoiding contract, though. You can't compare those contracts to free agent market contracts because the player has very little leverage.

yeah I think he's going to be a real good pitcher, just because of his height and the way he pitches. Most guys that tall have really fast velocity and a good slider, but he's more of a deceptive pitcher. I think that will make him successful because most ML batters don't see balls of that speed from that arm slot all that often.
