Is the trumpet player warming up to play "Taps" for J-Rod's career?

Not downplaying this, but seriously, when is a TH homer not a complete bomb? Hafner's gotta be the ML leader far and away in AHTPHR (average hang-time per home run).
Adam Dunn ranks right up there too.

FWIW, the Braves and Nationals will be on TBS at 6:30 (CT) tonight. The Nats are on a six game skid (1-8), and the Braves have won their last four to go 7-1. John Smoltz will be facing off against Jason Bergmann as the Braves try for the sweep.

I took it as the trumpeter playing "Charge!", as in he's on a plane to St. Louis today.

You got a point. He always hits them far and deep. He's got to be one of the most intimadating hitters at the plate.

Royals - O's are 0-0 in the 6th.

Good game so far for Meche.

Does anyone know anything about Bergmann, the pitcher for the Nats who's shut out the Braves tonight? I've never heard of him.

Sam Perlozzo tried to bunt with his 3 hitter in the 8th inning. Of course, they didn't score any runs. Hopefully the Royals score about 15 runs in the 10th to make them pay.
