Thanks for the stats, pretty interesting...especially the Bagwell one. Too bad Pujols never played in the minors.

Albert Pujols MiLB totals - 133 games, 490 ab's, 921 ops, 19 home runs.

I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but a look at the MiLB IsoP for those players as well as the age they entered the big leagues would be really useful as well.

The story goes that Bagwell played in an awful AA park, and the Red Sox' inability to recognize context is why Bagwell was available in the infamous Andersen trade.

Well, that and they were high on both Scott Cooper (3B) and Mo Vaughn (1B) which kept Bagwell blocked.

I think most scouts would have looked at his stance as well, and have some doubts whether or not he could be successful at the MLB level like that.
