Notes: Keisler down, Jimenez up. Jimenez had been pitching well at Memphis, 12 K in 11.1 IP with a 1.59 ERA. One theory behind bringing Jimenez up is that Franklin can take over the 5 spot and, with the overtaxed bullpen after yesterday, it might be nice to have the spare arm with Reyes going today.

Pujols rakes against Marquis (back when he was in Atlanta) going 4 for 6. Edmonds has never gotten a hit against Marquis in 7 AB. Rolen is 4 for 18 in his career (.222), but two of those hits were homers.

Reyes got shelled his last time out against the Cubbies, giving up 4 earned in 6 innings, including one homer. He did strike out 5 vs. no walks, but we'll have to see how deep he can go today.

Did I just hear Tony say "Do your best, big boy" regarding putting Jimenez into a tough situation? Tony's definitely genetically loose this year.
