So is Myers going to be the closer for Philly or not?

Make a decision already, Manuel! Your closer is unavailable.

Manuel can't even figure out a double switch. #-o

In the same vein, when is Tracy going to make Capps the closer in Pittsburg? I picked him up when Torres was struggling so much, and now I want to be rewarded.

Gordon is heading to the DL. It's Myers' time (til Manuel is fired and Myers goes back to the rotation).

I think Torres may have righted the ship of late. Beware, Capps may still be just a setup man for awhile.

That's what I'm afraid of. I'll hold on to him for a couple more weeks to see if Torres' ability to close is temporary or not. Capps does have good numbers otherwise, but I already have 2 non-closing relievers (Broxton and Turnbow), so I really don't think I need a third. And the other 2 have even better numbers.

So, Gordon is only on the 15 day DL, right? I'm assuming that he gets the closer job back when he's off the DL. Anyone think that won't be the case? I ask because Gordon is about to be dropped in my league (after a trade) and I'm thinking about trying to pick him up because I could use some more saves.

XM Homeplate was discussing that it's not a foregone conclusion Gordon will automatically resume the closer role. They think if Myers does well, he could be Wally Pipped. Not that it helps you decide, but I'm just relaying what I heard.

Myers has looked pretty good as the closer so far. ESPN was talking about him being like Smoltz last night. I'd be wary of Gordon, he may just return as the setup man.

Gordon has been, in the past, an excellent set up man. If Myers is doing the job, why not put Gordon back in the role he excelled in?
