WTF? I'm busy for a week and this almost drops off of the first page of "Other Sports"?!?!

Blues sign 4 minor leaguers:
Blues Sign Drazenovic, Kana, Reaves and Hellstrom St. Louis Blues May 23, 2007, 2:06 PM EDT ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has signed forwards Nicholas Drazenovic, Tomas Kana and Ryan Reaves along with defenseman Alexander Hellstrom.

Drazenovic, 20, played in 58 games this season with the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League (WHL), registering 50 points (18 goals, 32 assists) along with 63 penalty minutes. The 6-1, 182-pound center was originally drafted by the Blues in the sixth round, 171st overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Kana, 20, appeared in 44 games this season with Vitkovice of the Czech Republic League, recording 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) and 54 penalty minutes. The 6-0, 202-pound center was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round, 31st overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Reaves, 20, skated in 69 games with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL this season, posting 35 points (15 goals, 20 assists) and 76 penalty minutes. The 6-2, 215-pound right winger was originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round, 156th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Hellstrom, 20, played in 39 games with Bjorkloven in Sweden this season, registering five assists and tied for first on the club with 104 penalty minutes. The 6-3, 214-pound defenseman was originally drafted by the Blues in the seventh round, 184th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Don't know much about Drazenovic or Reaves, but Hellstrom is touted as a Matt Walker type and Kana could be a Dallas Drake type if he reaches his potential.

Just saw this. I want to see what these guys can do. I love what the Blues are doing. What's the date of the draft anyway?

The I like how he detailed the Blues depth at Defense. That as such a strong area for the team. the Blues need to draft some goal scorers. Who was the Blues last 50 Goal Scorer? Hull?

Yea, I'm thinking Brett Hull. I remember Scott Young got close one year with 40 ish goals.

Blues sign 5 players, including Patrik Berglund and Jonas Junland:
ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has signed Patrik Berglund, Jonas Junland, Martin Kariya, Nikolai Lemtyugov and Juuso Riksman.

Berglund, 18, played in 35 games with Vasteras in Sweden this past season, recording 48 points (21 goals, 27 assists) and 30 penalty minutes. The 6-4, 190-pound forward was originally the Blues first round selection, 25th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Junland, 19, played in 41 games this season Linkoping HC of the Swedish Elite League, recording five points (one goal, four assists) along with 22 penalty minutes. The 6-2, 198-pound blueliner was originally the Blues third round selection, 64th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Kariya, 25, appeared in 51 games this season with Espoo of the Finnish League, recording 61 points (18 goals, 43 assists) and 58 penalty minutes. The 5-9, 180-pound forward is the brother of Nashville Predators forward Paul Kariya.

Lemtyugov, 21, skated in 51 games with Cherepovets Severstal of the Russian League this season, posting 19 points (11 goals, eight assists) and 50 penalty minutes. The 6-0, 176-pound forward was originally drafted by the Blues in the seventh round, 219th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Riksman, 30, played in 29 games with Jokerit Helsinki of the Finnish League this season, recording a 18-4-6 record along with a 2.25 goals against average. The 6-0 190-pound goaltender has spent the previous three seasons in the Finnish League.
