If i want to ask a silly question to a ball player, isn't that my right to do so?

There's a difference between asking a "lighter side" question and what went on in that thread. IMO it was completely derailed by silliness when it wasn't appropriate time to do so.

You are too smart to post something like this.

You know very well that people aren't talking about those when they talk about "stats" in this instance.

Those are basic stats that take no leaps into the arcane world of VORP, WARP, Eqa, UZR, etc, etc, etc.
Just this morning, a post by another user:
And bottom line..go ahead and look at OPS, that's fine, you can have your fancy dancy stats.
But I understand your point. The thing is, VORP, EqA etc.. are all measuring the same thing that people try to measure with Avg, it's just it condenses it into one number.

When you're asking that question as a representative of an organization, isn't it in the organization's right to determine if they want to be represented by you?

I use "organization" loosely, but my point remains the same. It's your right to say what you want, but it's other people's right to say what you have to say is juvenile, and not what they want to see on their site. Michael pays the bills for this place. If you don't like the way he runs the show, then have fun on someone else's dime.

I didn't read that thread, and I wasn't there. I was trying to explain why so many people are "intimidated" by the BT, I get the feeling sometimes that if I make an observation from watching a game, that 4 or 5 people are going to come back with a mountain of stats to try to prove to me I didn't really see what I thought I saw.
Why were some of my posts paper tigers?

Sorry popeye, I didn't realize I was not able to make an oservation, we cannot question the mods or the admin. My bad. But I ain't going anywhere, I will keep on wasting his dimes as long as he will let me! Even though I am sure I waste too much of my time here anyway.

hey wart: what happened in the interview thread was totally different than what goes on in BT.

Two posters quoted each other back and forth about things that had NOTHING to do with the person being interviewed. And it kept going on to the point that the thread didn't seem to be about the person who was being interviewed anymore.

My personal thought would be, who cares? Nobody's opinion around here is worth more than anyone else's. They're all worthless in the grand scheme of things.

Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they are attacking you.
