I've already committed to the trade, so it's not so much a "should I do this" thread but more of a "that's a good deal" or "you've lost your mind, do you even know how to play fantasy baseball" thread.
A little league background: 10 team keeper/dynasty hybrid. We keep 10 each year. The dynasty part is based on our minor league drafts with 10 players per team. As long as you keep a minor leaguer on your dynasty roster, when they reach the majors they're yours and you don't have to use a keeper spot on them.
The league's been going for 5 years now and the dynasty rosters are really starting to take effect. I drafted Fielder, Kazmir, and Hanley Ramirez 4 or 5 years ago and now they're paying off.
So, the trade: I give up Soriano in exchange for dynasty rights to Ryan Braun and Josh Barfield.
My reasoning: I'm always waiting for Soriano to kinda implode, this year he's not running as much, and he'll continue to get older. Braun seems to be the real deal, gives a free keeper with potentially top 3 or 4 round talent, and runs a little himself. Barfield is still a guy with potential and if I can get a 2B on my dynasty roster and not worry about that position in next year's draft I'd be highly satisfied.
Am I crazy or am I sane?
opinions on this trade?

Seems like a no brainer to me. The big difference between Soriano and Braun going forward is going to be SB(although he hasn't run a whole lot this year), but we know you have Ramirez so Soriano wasn't your only source, plus you're getting a keeper 2B to compensate for that.

Totally sane.
Soriano has maybe 2-3 decent years left before noticeable decline. Braun is just getting started and will easily be outproducing Soriano after those 2-3 years. and Barfield is no slouch.
