No, the time was set for 10:45pm CT. It took about 45-50 minutes for the draft.

Re: Fantasy Basketball
For those that didn't see it on our league's message board (thanks to those who already voted):
I was not aware we could retroactively run stats for our league... and I'm not sure how many others of you knew that, either.
So my question to my fellow league managers is: Should we retroactively run stats for the first 2 nights of the season?
I'll start the discussion.
Pro: It's just two nights, so I'm not sure how much it's going to affect the overall result.
Con: Had we decided ahead of time, it may have affected team(s) drafting philosophy.
Let the discussion begin, and submit your vote as well. Majority vote wins, and we have to have at least 75% of the team voting for it to count.
The deadline to run the stats is Nov. 6th, so your prompt review is requested.

I'd be ok with either way.

I'm out of the gates like a banshee.
On the retroactive stuff, I'd be ok either way, but would probably just leave it as is so you don't get any disagreements in close cat's at the end of the year.

Either way is cool with me.
How do I learn how the scoring is done in this league?

Bring it... but bring it an hour late!stlouie_lipp wrote:I had to rely on the auto draft...did the draft time get bumped back an hour, or was I mistaken about the time all along?
Anyway...I like my team. Although, I must confess I've never played fantasy basketball before...but I think my team will kick a$$ over you chumps.
(yes, I am talking smack)
Should be fun. Points move like crazy, from what I can tell.
I posted this on message in the league, but I'm good with keeping the points where they are. Not worth 2 games missed.

Re: Basketball
I honestly haven't looked to see if it would benefit my team or not, but I have to admit I prefer the idea of my team's stats to be encompassing of the entire season, not the entire season minus 2 days. So I guess I would vote for running the retroactive stats.
Had I not been on my "annual fishing trip", I would have set up the league in time for the start of the season.
stlouie_lipp: Roto scoring works like this: Your team is ranked against every other team in our league in each scoring cat. 12 teams means #1-12 in each cat. If your team has the most blocks, your team earns a 12 in that cat. If your team has the least steals, you earn a 1. The addition of your rank in each cat gives you the total.

Thanks...so it's just a running total for the season? Sorry, never played in a roto league before.mikechamp wrote:stlouie_lipp: Roto scoring works like this: Your team is ranked against every other team in our league in each scoring cat. 12 teams means #1-12 in each cat.
