I am totally replying to that add.haltz wrote:OK, I replied to the ad. You know, because Brown Ales are just all that I drink. I made it sound that way anyway. Hopefully I can destroy my liver on my terms and it doesn't get harvested and sold while it's still functioning.

Just had a couple of these today. I concur with your review. My reigning standard bearer for the brown ales is still Rogue's Hazlenut Nectar. but at $7 a bomber I'm trying to find a cheaper substitute.thrill wrote:ITT we will discuss the blessed drink, make recommendations and commiserate with those who think every beer worth drinking is brewed in St. Louis and Milwaukee.
Left Hand Milk Stout. This is the second best beer I've had lately. Very, very delicious. A pretty drinkable stout, even for amateurs. Some creamy chocolate and coffee flavors.

Re: The Beer Thread
Anyone know where I can get this in St. Louis? They don't sell this stuff in Connecticut and I'd like to grab some before I go back to school. I tried this stuff once and loved it. Kind of forgot about it until I read this thread.thrill wrote:ITT we will discuss the blessed drink, make recommendations and commiserate with those who think every beer worth drinking is brewed in St. Louis and Milwaukee.

Most on here will probably poo-poo this, but I've had several of the ones on this list and I enjoy them thoroughly.obucard wrote:11 best beers to get you drunk but not fat.
Corona Lite is pretty good and very close to the original, and Bud Select(sorry Jim) is one of my go-tos when I can't decide on anything else.

I once heard that beer doesn't get you drunk it's when you're drunk and eat all that late night greasy fat food.

Re: The Beer Thread
Beer has calories, thus the number of beers you consume does count toward making you fat if you drink enough of it and often enough. The greasy food makes it worse, sure, but the beer counts too. Even if it is low-carb; calories are calories. Liquor's got 'em too.C.
