From what I've noticed in Moz's interviews, he, and I'll assume management as well, is very adamant about keeping the franchise chivalrous, for lack of a better word. We've already seen him throw Bonds off the table, and now he's saying that we won't get rid of Lohse. I see no reason to doubt the words coming from his mouth. To trade Lohse would give up on this franchise's mission of trying to compete every year, and will also hurt the franchises reputation with players such as Pujols. Albert doesn't bust his butt all year playing just so the managers can throw in the towel at the end of the season because they've just recently fallen behind in the standings. I don't believe Moz will make any sort of moves in the near future that will raise a flag. It just doesn't seem like his style.mcgee51taguchi99 wrote:I believe that two sentences later he then said that no one is untouchable. It's all a bunch of BS, I'm guessing Albert is the only true "untouchable" and anyone else can be had for a price (obviously it would take a ridiculous, can't refuse offer to move guys like Wainwright, Rasmus, Carp).AdmiralKird wrote:Cronos69 wrote:FWIW, Mo was in the booth at last night's game in Atlanta and pretty vehemently stated "No" when asked if Lohse might be moved.

Re: Lohse Being Shopped?
Of course, not making the playoffs will not help with Pujols either. Being competitive this year, and next, is not going to be as helpful as not making it this year, but strengthening the team for next year. (Again, that is assuming a trade that accomplishes this task is even out there).
