More Palin vetting. She was a part owner in a car wash that failed to pay its taxes. It's become a feeding frenzy.

This can't be real.Palin's gubernatorial disclosure filings also reveal her involvement in another failed startup -- a marketing business which was to go by the name Rouge Cou, which evidently is a literal French translation of "red neck." On the 2005 form, Palin describes the firm as one for which she secured a license but did not conduct any business.

Yeah. Going to three schools tells you nothing without the context. I went to three schools. The first one (out of state) dropped my major, which I found out at orientation. A year later I transferred to another out of state school and then changed my major. At that point, I found an in-state school with a better program then the out of state school (and also met my current wife), so I transferred again and graduated a couple years later.greenback44 wrote:In fairness to Palin, I'll go out on a limb and guess Hawaii Pacific has a higher dropout rate than Harvard or even the Naval Academy. I've heard plenty of stories about kids going to colleges near beaches for a year and not more than a year.jim wrote:Palin's educational background:
1982 - Hawaii Pacific College - no degree.
1983 - North Idaho College - no degree.
1987 - Univ. of Idaho - 3rd times a charm. B.S. in Communications
My guess just based on the name was North Idaho College doesn't offer anything more than two-year degrees (and this page and its Wikipedia entry confirm that). It's pretty common for students to take classes at community colleges to get credit for intro level classes at a much lower cost, then go off to the big four-year state college where those credits are recognized fully.

so failing to pay taxes is about the same as returning a videotape late?
a lot of people go to jail in this country for failing to pay taxes...
