Re: Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin: The Thread
I'm so sick of all of the liberal spin you guys put on here, so we're even.
But maybe you think it's a scare tactic because it's true that the Dems won't do a good job protecting our own land. Otherwise, what's the problem?
Maybe I just prefer those that respect our country, our land, our flag and those that actually make something of themselves without excuses.

When used in the context of political gain, it's a scare tactic. Why else would you show it at a political convention?Cronos69 wrote:I'll go ahead and openly wonder how remembering 9/11 is used primarily as a scare tactic as well.obucard wrote:I haven't seen the video, so I'll ask how it's a scare tactic instead of a "never forget" montage.Socnorb11 wrote:I'm pretty sure you can protect the country without trying to scare the citizens into voting your way every chance you get.BW23 wrote:Yeah. National security shouldn't be a focus.

I'm not sure what this has to do with the conversation, but I completely agree with you.BW23 wrote:I'm so sick of all of the liberal spin you guys put on here, so we're even.

9/11 happened with GW in charge. If anything, maybe we should be afraid that the Republicans aren't protecting us. (Note: I don't honestly believe that, but that shows how much traction your argument has).

How much has been planned to harm us and then implemented on our soil in the last 8 years?
Nothing.
For those that want to go against what I said, they better arm themselves with a bunch of lies, because that's all they'll have.
Nothing.

I don't understand this last part in the context of this thread. Are you saying Obama hasn't made something of himself or that he doesn't respect the country? Or are you saying this about other posters here?BW23 wrote:I'm so sick of all of the liberal spin you guys put on here, so we're even.

The dilemma with political discussion...both sides think the other couldn't possibly really believe what they say is true and are simply saying it to piss the other side off.

"nothing has been planned"
Did you skip over that part of it? The planning started on Clinton's watch...in large part because of Clinton. 1993 was his warning sign (along with many, many others), and he blew it.

How much was planned and implemented before 2001?
