Re: Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin: The Thread
I wish people would let go of the Palin storylines, especially the hearsay. It will come out in due time.
If they want to attack her on something, make it a policy issue. Like when she slashed funding for special needs education as governor, before she had her own special needs child.

None if it is gaining traction anyway. The media REFUSES to run a negative story about Palin or McCain. It'll run 600 stories about the way the polls have swung for McCain, but when they swung +8 Obama, the media was quiet. Yet every single story I've heard today on MSNBC and CNN have been about McCain's bounce and Sarah Palin.Popeye_Card wrote:I wish people would let go of the Palin storylines, especially the hearsay. Exactly. What I don't need to hear anymore of is Sarah Palin asking just what it is that a Veep does. That is actually the right question to ask before considering accepting any job.

Geez, if you really believe that. :eyeroll:PujolJunkie wrote:None if it is gaining traction anyway. The media REFUSES to run a negative story about Palin or McCain. Sorry pujols junkie -but I don't buy into the polls anymore than the hearsay/rumors? I suspect the only people answering polls are zealots*** after the Palin came aboard, the GOP zealots came out in force. That is the poll bounce
I agree, the media plays the polls up way too much, trying to make elections into foregone conclusions. there are some dim people want to vote for the popular one/winner - so in that regard, it helps when you poll well.
***I know many of these polled people claim to be independents, but I thinks its them playing games. Its more PC to call yourself an independent, whether you are one or not.

Re: Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin: The Thread
I've been watching CNN and MSNBC ALL day. The narrative all day has been McCain's bounce, Palin's enthusiasm, McCain and Palin and where they'll be campaigning and what they've said, McCain stating he'll put a Dem in his cabinet, McCain and Palin now the "agents of change." The two Obama stories I've heard are the earmarks story and Obama on Olbermann tonight. That. Is. It.cardinalkarp wrote:Geez, if you really believe that. :eyeroll:PujolJunkie wrote:None if it is gaining traction anyway. The media REFUSES to run a negative story about Palin or McCain. Okay. I'll echo what has already been said by cardinalkarp.
The media has yet to run a negative story on Palin. Seriously?
And it's almost as if you're suggesting the media is conservative. I believe that's just one network. The others are far, far from it, and you know that.

Re: Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin: The Thread
Also, McCain's camp has a lot to do with what is being reported based on what they're doing.
The timing of the Palin announcement was designed to take away any focus on the DNC and any bounce Obama might have.
Obama's camp is trying to defuse potential rumors that the McCain camp might start on him being a Muslim. It's not something that's even happened, but that's the best they could do.
And he screwed that up. Quite a bit, IMO.
So, if you were a news editor for one of the major networks, I suppose you would have ignored all of the Palin talk last weekend and somehow found some negative stuff to run about her or McCain this weekend, right?
That's pretty fair.
