John Sidney McCain III. How's that for a rich, preppy name?Hudler wrote:Is it Adolph?Radbird wrote:John McCain has a middle name too.

I think there's an extent to which it's probably true, but, yes, I find it creepy coming from him.ghostrunner wrote:So, I'm voting for him, but does anyone else have a problem with this kind of talk? Seriously, it gives me the creeps coming out of his mouth.BW23 wrote:Obama:The second thing my supporters understand, the day I'm inaugurated, this country looks at itself differently and the world looks at America differently. John McCain's daughter Meghan said Tuesday that her family has a special understanding of the military, claiming that "no one knows what war is like other than my family."
McCain, appearing on NBC's "Today Show" to promote her recently released children's book on her father, said the experience of having the country at war is "just different when you have someone in the military," adding that "obviously, I think my father gets it more than anyone."
"I mean, my family — I have two brothers serving in the military. One is about to redeploy to Iraq," McCain said. "My father is obviously a famous war hero. No one knows what war is like other than my family, period."
McCain added that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has a similar understanding because her son Track is slated to deploy to Iraq on September 11.
Can you imagine the outrage if Obama's wife or daughter said "nobody knows what it's like to grow up as a black family in America except for my family, period"?
Unbelievable.
John McCain is a war hero and a true patriot that we should all be proud of....... no doubt. But I'm sick and tired of war being exploited for political gain.

I think later today you should quote that post again. Maybe someone will pay attention to it at some point. Or maybe nobody thinks that what a kid of candidate says matters that much.

I think you should be a little more snarky in case you haven't made everyone on this board your enemy yet.BW23 wrote:I think later today you should quote that post again. Where do you think "kids" get their values from?
