I don't really know a whole lot about Lynn, but I've read he throws a 90-92 mph fastball and I've also read 92-94. 3-4 pitches IIRC, and they are all pretty much average. Projected to be an end of the rotation pitcher. Should put up good stats in the low minors. Has thrown 26.2 IP so far in his minor league career.

I'm curious why you like Lance Lynn more. Is it because there's a better chance of him sticking in the majors, and becoming a yearly 200 IP kind of guy? More of a sure bet?

Everything I read about Lynn compared him to Suppan. While durability certainly has value, is he really the third best prospect in our system, Magneto? Or are you just saying he's higher on your list than Todd?

Lance Lynn was also shut down at the end of the season (I believe with a forearm problem). That should raise some red flags about him.

I'm also in the group that likes Motte more than Perez.

I think Lance Lynn projects to be a 3rd starter, more than a back end of the rotation guy. Keith Law loves him. None of his pitches are flashy to the point where it gets scouts excited, but there are a lot of very good pitchers like that. I just like his arsenal, command, and his size, and I feel he's more a sure bet.

I wouldn't say the third best, but I would say he's the second best bet to be a contributing starting pitcher on the MLB team in the next two seasons (Behind Garcia). There's others in the lower minors that have more talent but I don't think they have the potential to move as quickly as Lynn. He seems to be polished.

Right on, thanks for the response. Here's to hoping he's the next Aaron Harang.

Perez
Anderson

One average season as a young kid at AA really turned off that many people to Anderson?

I'm going to lock this and do a runoff between Anderson and Jones for #4. Todd is our #3 prospect.
