Drinking beer definitely makes you fat. The more you drink the less your body burns fat for energy. It suppresses the number of fat calories your body burns for energy — far more so than meals rich in protein, carbohydrate, or fat.

C.J., I'm pretty sure they carry Left Hand at Randall's. I-44 and Jefferson. Also try Friar Tuck's, near Crestwood Plaza if that's closer to you.

Anyone know where I can get this in St. Louis? They don't sell this stuff in Connecticut and I'd like to grab some before I go back to school. I tried this stuff once and loved it. Kind of forgot about it until I read this thread.

I saw it recently at Whole Foods in Brentwood.

apologies Johny - there was no Left Hand Milk Stout there last night. Maybe it was Dierbergs....I know I saw that beer with the cow on it somewheres.

I'm a huge fan of that beer, and really just about anything that Bells puts out.

Then again, beer makes my ass look fat, so I don't ever drink it.

I drank Left Hand Milk Stout draft at whatever the rooftop bar in the Loop is called.

Pizza at Pi was really very tasty despite my bias against hipster bistro pizza places*.

*Example: my gf drank a avocado/sage/cucumber/patchouli martini.

/kidding about the patchouli
