So no Hide-the-salame then?
No, we've been kind of dating/hooking up for a week or two and I again realized that I just don't like her. Her head is as hollow as Yadi's batting average.

New nominee for game of the year.

Pujols-amazsome
Ludwick, Ankiel, Skip, Lugo were good.
Regression to the Regifter for Pineiro. Blows two separate leads but we bail him out.
Lot of heart shown to come back against Santana and KRod.
Eh, more like Inning of the Year. This game on the whole wasn't that great but the last few innings were excellent. The Dodger game just kicked ass all around.

Inning of the year? Isn't this a bit of revisionist history?

Dodgers game:
Completely shut out and look helpless for 8 innings.
Scratch out a run against a good closer.
Scrap together another run in the 11th to tie again.
4 more innings of meh and then Pujols with the walkoff double.
A couple of exciting defensive plays and near wins for both teams.

Tonight:
Take a 1-0 lead.
Give up 3 runs facing arguably the best pitcher in baseball this decade.
Immediately answer to take the lead 4-3.
Give up 4 more runs to trail 7-4.
Pujols home run off Santana, 7-5.
Against an elite closer back to back doubles in the ninth, 7-6. Looks like we are going to blow the opportunity and then Skip ties it up.
Load the bases with 2 outs and Derosa gets HBP. Pujols blows it open with a GS on an 0-2 count.

The Dodgers game was intense but more frustrating than enjoyable. Neither team really looked to step up and win it. To me, tonight was much more exciting.

Seth Rogen can do no wrong, imo.

I'm not a big fan, but he was decent in this one. Pretty much just played himself instead of a pothead or something. I like the Apatow directed movies though, they're more than just stupid comedies, actually have some substance.

Albert Pujols was 4-for-5 with pair of homers, including a grand slam in the tenth inning as the Cardinals topped the Mets 12-7 on Tuesday night.
Can he be stopped? In addition to the nine multi-homer games this year, Pujols now has five grand slams, tying him with Ernie Banks (1955) for the most ever by a National Leaguer in a season. Absolutely amazing. Entering tonight's action in a bit of a funk, Pujols filled up the boxscore with five RBI, three runs scored and a walk. This man is absurdly good.

Weird line of the night - Mark Derosa goes 0-for-5 and gets the GWRBI (yes, I know that's no longer an official stat).

"I'm human," Pujols said in reference to his slump over the weekend. "Like I say in that commercial, I'm not a machine."

It's hard to believe that sometimes, especially when the bases are loaded.

I guess different strokes. Tonight was better played, but the Dodger game being frustrating made the payoff that much more rewarding to me. Tonight I pretty much felt like we were gonna win once we tied it because the Mets are such a joke this year, the Dodgers are a much tougher team.

More satisfying, it allowed him to reprimand those who had picked at his recent performance.

"I was more frustrated with you guys asking questions: 'Was my elbow OK?' or trying to figure out why I'm struggling,'' he said. "C'mon. Give me a break. Everybody struggles in this game. I'm human. Like I said in that (ESPN) commercial, I'm not a machine. I work hard and make sure I'm ready every day. Some days I'm going to pick my teammates up. I didn't put my head down and feel sorry for myself. I tried to find my swing and that's what I did. This is something you turn the page on and come back tomorrow."
