Re: The Video Game Thread
Just finished a backlog of games that I've had:
MGS4: Great game, but short...and seemed less stealthy than previous games...and a lot of cut scenes. (9.0/10)
Uncharted: Also a great game, I've been arguing with myself when thinking if there was enough ammo or not for the game. But it truly forces you to think through the game instead of a run-n-gun type flow. A decent length, but on the short side again. Will definitely pick up Uncharted 2. (8.5/10)
Super Paper Mario: I liked it, but the 3D timer kept pissing me off. Also, not being able to flip to 3D with each player kinda sucked. The story was decent and it was fun to play with all the different pixls. (7.5/10)
Next up:
Dragon Age
Demon's Soul (I've heard this game is crazy hard)
CoD:MW2 (waiting to see how the reviews pan out, and if the online multiplayer kicks or not)

I think I put around ten hours into Dragon Age this weekend and I'm loving it so far.

I'm playing Uncharted 2 right now, and so far it's one of the best of this generation. All aspects of the gameplay are much improved and the graphics are amazing. It's awesome how it makes you feel like you're in a summer popcorn film. I'm loving it.

I stormed through the rest of Dragon Age on casual this weekend then started again. Playing it completely differently and being more thorough this time. It's really a great game.

I had to turn the difficulty down from normal to casual on a particular boss fight. It ticked me off that I had to do it but the fight seemed nigh on impossible.cpebbles wrote:I stormed through the rest of Dragon Age on casual this weekend then started again. Either I chose the wrong main quest to start with, or the difficulty level for this game is pretty steep even on normal.

Re: The Video Game Thread
it's on the way to me from Gamefly.
I'm still working through Modern Warfare 2. I've kinda gone crazy the last two weeks after trying out some racing games with a wheel and have been building my own little racing rig setup, so I haven't finished it yet. And the new Super Mario Bros. just go here. So Assassin's Creed is lower on my list right now, especially if it's not any different from the first one.
