Scott's Tots was a terrific episode.

There have actually been a couple of utterly great Office episodes this season: The murder mystery, the Koi Pond, and Scott's Tots had me in stitches.

That one took the wince-ometer up to 11.

I view the two Offices as separate things. When the Office tried to be like the British office, it struggled. When it got into the more "cartoony" aspects, it became it's own show which I then took on it's own terms. News Radio was cartoony too, but it was a good show.

I like the idea that Michael runs the most efficient branch in the company. His success and his boorishness have him forever trapped in that branch, which is also kind of funny. It's obvious Michael's boss sees Jim as a more palatable option for promotion, hence the co-manager situation. He doesn't really want to demote Michael, because he wants the branch to remain profitable, but he needs to move Jim around him somehow.

I liked that article about Jim. I like his character, but the show really took him down notch last year when he showed up in the Tux in front of Charles from the corporate office. At that point you realized how lame and petty he is in some ways. Instead of doing what he should do and looking for a better place to work, he settles for staying near Pam and playing jokes on Dwight. Loved the little bit last week with Pam becoming uncomfortable watching Jim act like a manager.

Yet another reason that character was a huge mistake. He sucked all the life out of the show for a month, and the aftereffects are still being felt.

So did anyone else check out the David Cross/Will Arnett made-for-UK joint?

Seaside Heights Police Chief Thomas Boyd confirmed yesterday that the woman who was hit inside the Beachcomber Bar & Grill a little after 2 a.m. Wednesday was part of MTV’s latest foray at the popular resort town…

Seaside Heights Detective Steve Korman said the suspect, Brad Ferro, 23, of Deer Park, N.Y., was told to stop drinking by bouncers at the Beachcomber Wednesday morning because he appeared intoxicated. The bar’s bouncers let Ferro stay, however, and he eventually stole the female cast member’s alcoholic beverage from the bar and guzzled it down…

Ferro was arrested on simple-assault and disorderly-person charges. The cast member was not treated.

Oh swell, he's a teacher:
The drunken lout seen sucker-punching a "Jersey Shore" hottie in a video clip gone viral is a New York City public school teacher, The Post has learned.

And the sudden right cross seen across the Internet has earned Queens gym teacher Brad Ferro a technical knockout — he’s been moved out of class and into one of the Department of Education’s teacher reassignment centers, also known as a "rubber room," agency officials confirmed.

Scott's Tots was probably the worst episode in the history of the office. Stanley's reaction at the beginning was funny, Michael trying to give them laptop batteries and underestimating book costs was funny, but the rest was either uncomfortably awkward, irritating, or both.
