That is really incredible, if it's all true. We'll have to wait for details, but a straight up $17 million per for 17 years no opt outs and a potential team option is all great news.

Holliday falls short of the $18MM average salary he reportedly sought, but this contract is a huge win for Boras given the lack of competition.
WTF!?

Bay got $16MM/yr, and a superior player in Holliday got $17MM/yr...not to mention Boras wanted $22MM/yr. HUGE win for Mo if this is all true.

I am not thrilled about the length, but that's a pretty good price. By the time Holliday starts to decline (hopefully), the real cost of that salary will be considerably less.

# Top of my head: Boras/Holliday won. Seven years w/club option is excellent deal for player. #stlcards 11 minutes ago from web

# Whoops, slightly mis-wrote. Seven years w/full no-trade is excellent deal for player. #stlcards 10 minutes ago from web

# @imo6 Heyman is reporting full no-trade. 3 minutes ago from web in reply to imo6

So that explains why I saw him at the airport. I figured no one here cared about that...
