Not that you need this piece of second hand information to draw a conclusion, but I worked with a friend of his from high school. He is a huge user. For long enough that any ailment could easily be from steroid abuse.

BJ Penn can't be touched at lightweight. His standup is amazing, his BJJ is death, and I don't think two fighters could collectively take him down.

He has a black belt in tae kwon do and is training at AKA. Not sure how much the black belt will help him but American Kickboxing Academy is a top mma camp.
