On the pitching front, the Phillies have discussed deals involving a number of starters. They've talked about Arizona's Dan Haren, Baltimore's Jeremy Guthrie and Oakland's Ben Sheets, among others. But there were indications they've spent a lot of time in recent days exploring a trade for Astros ace Roy Oswalt.

Looks like the Phillies are moving on Oswalt. I can't wait to see what they give up since they won't be trading Domonic Brown and there really isn't another high-end prospect in the system.

I'm going to guess they give up Werth and a couple low level arms. The Astros can try to trade Werth before the deadline for the right offer or take the 2 draft picks and salary relief.
There's also the chance that if the Astros could trade for Werth, buyout Berkman's option and try to get something done with Werth. That would allow them to move Lee to first. Just spitballin here.
Sounds like it's going to be a 3-way deal if something goes down. Werth to [whatever contender], Oswalt to Phillies, prospects from one/both other teams to Houston...
