Right. That doesn't mean that the Reds aren't going away, it means the Cards aren't playing well.

Who are you guys expecting to improve significantly the rest of the way? Maybe this team just isn't that good.

Ryan and Skip need to get just a little better, and Molina needs some rest.

I don't have time to read the thread, but I don't get this at all. A 125 OPS+ outfielder with good defense for a 5.00 ERA pitcher. [expletive] Mozeliak.
Ludwick has a career OPS+ of 117 and Westbrook has a career ERA of 4.34. Why this irrestible urge to make Ludwick out to be more than he is and Westbrook less than he is? Why the failure to account for the ERA drop of a half-run or so we can probably expect when Westbrook gets to pitch to NL hitters? Why the dead certainty that Jay, or a Jay/Craig platoon, can't reproduce an .830 OPS in right field?

8 months of Ludwick, 2 months of Westbrook, etc

Just glanced at their zips ros which is more useful than career #s. You guys are making this too complicated. Ludwick is a good player and Westbrook sort of sucks.
