Scary movies.. ?
So me and my gf are being a couple of nerds this Halloween and not doin anything of the costume party variety. We decided that we'd just get loaded and watch scary movies.
What are some truly frightening movies to watch? None of this friday the 13th bull. I'm talkin [expletive] your pants irl scary.
We've already seen The Excorcist and The Sixth Sense.
Event Horizon was pretty freaking scary too. In fact, it's one of the scariest movies i've ever seen i think.
anyway, what can GRB suggest for us?

Paranormal activity was pretty scary from what I've heard. I can get it instantly with Netflix on my Xbox, but I really hate scary movies. I'd probably [expletive] my pants watching that movie alone.
Dawn of the Dead is a semi-scary, but still fun, zombie movie.

BW is about as non-scary as Sixth Sense. It might just be right up his alley.InvincibleCakeEater wrote:Paranormal Activity is as scary as Blair Witch Project.TGantz wrote:Paranormal activity was pretty scary from what I've heard. I think The Blair Witch Project gets a bad rap. Watching it now, yeah, not very scary. But, I went to see it at some little "art house" theater in Chicago on the night it came out and before any real publicity. It scared the [expletive] out of me because you really weren't sure what may have been real footage. You have to remember this was at a time before everyone was connected to the internet at all times and knew everything about everything.
Oh, and to answer your question go birds, watch the "The Shining" and the original "Halloween" if you haven't already.

Along those lines, they had an awesome viral campaign for it on teh interwebs the week or month before it came out. The week it came out, my friend came up to me and said "Hey, check this out", sending me to the viral site. We were both pretty sure it was bull [expletive] but also both really wanted to see the movie. And did, on opening night at midnight.stlouie_lipp wrote:I think The Blair Witch Project gets a bad rap. I definitely agree with the idea that it ages poorly, which is unfortunate.
