TV Thread - beware, [expletive] can get spoilery

Watched Top Gear the American version on the History Channel last night. It was entertaining, but that's more because of the hardware then the human element. Kind of hard to mess a show up with a trio of Lamborghini screaming down an airport runway and playing war games with a Cobra. But the personalities are duds. So they get a trio of 20-some year olds that act like they are 16. Big deal, the English version appeals to me more because they have some guys my age acting 16.

I'll keep watching, but definitely not as good as the BBC version.

I just finished episode 8, so not tonight's episode but the week before. That must be one hell of a lens that Quinn's dirty cop PI has on that camera. It managed to take photos of Dexter and Lumen dumping their bags into the ocean. At night. From several miles away. Impressive.

The show has gotten too sloppy.

I thought it just showed them loading the luggage onto the boat.

Possibly. That would certainly make a lot more sense. The thing that made me think the photos were them out at sea was the way the camera cuts from Lumen's face immediately after dropping the bag into the water to slime ball's camera screen. Her face is made to look like the first photo in the series of photos he took. As a scrolls through the rest it does look more like them loading the boat though.

I get what you're saying. I think they just used it as a transitional shot though. I haven't watched tonight's episode though, so I have no idea.

It was photos of them loading the boat. In a conversation w/ Quinn he said that, and when the boat came back, the bags were not there.

The best, most important part, was Mr. Chase's call to Dexter, that Lumen answered. Game's on. Everyine knows everything. At least, soon they will, w/ the PI hot on the trail too.
