The best, most important part, was Mr. Chase's call to Dexter, that Lumen answered. Game's on. Everyine knows everything. At least, soon they will, w/ the PI hot on the trail too.
Does Quinn take out Robocop to earn back Brenda?
Liked the Astor thing. Loved the ending. Saw the previews and there's only two ways this can end without Dexter getting fingered. Lumen gets killed, fingered as the vigilante and Dex pleads ignorance. Or Dex goes season 2, pulls the firealarm and steals her DVD.
I'm with thrill(I think) toooooo much Deus Ex Machina going on. Quinn flipping? too easy. He'll prolly take out Liddy himself. No one putting it together yet?
And am I the only one starting to get annoyed by Harry? The 'I'm proud of you moment is really going against the conscience/code enforcement stuff. I can understand being your own devil's advocate and arguing with yourself on logistics of that stuff. But being proud cause he beats up some dude who beats his daughter? After his 'conscience' berated him for getting involved? It seems too contradictory to me.

I really liked this episode, best one of the season so far, imo. I could also the the vigilante angle getting pinned on Liddy. We're being set up to hate him, and we already know he's dirty. Somehow, I see Dexter's fate hinging on him, either getting the blame, or admiring Dexter once he discovers the truth and exonerating him somehow.

oohh, hadn't thought of that angle, but that's a good one

A severe lack of zombies lately hasn't helped. I still consider it appointment TV.
I'm hoping they get a little more budget next season to go with the full 13 episode order. I'm very much down with the idea of keeping the show small for the most part. Problem is, many of that actors/characters haven't proven very engaging yet. The old man is growing on me, and I was just starting to like the guy they left on the roadside. Glenn is a good character. The guy playing Rick just isn't selling me on anything. I want to give a [expletive] about him and his family, but I find I just don't.
With Dexter, I'm up to episode 6. WTF happened to Quinn this season? He's some weird zoolanderesque Guido all of a sudden. And Debra likes it, I guess.
Debra has to be let in on the secret for it to make any kind of sense or have some credibility. He can't just keep eluding everyone without some help, and she's the only character who could find out and stick by him. It might also minimize the overused "ghost dad" and keep us from having to hear Dexter drone on about being born in blood, etc...
Breaking Bad and Mad Men are both much better for having gotten these double life issues out of the way relatively early.
I haven't seen the latest Walking Dead episode. The actor that plays Rick was amazing in the first episode. But since then the show in general has been kind of weak. It would have been better off as a 2 or 3 episode mini series.
I think the Walking Dead is almost too much an epic. Failing in similar ways to Watchmen(I've read neither).
There just seems to be so much background you have to have and too many characters to follow and understand. They can't do 2-3 episodes of character development or the show gets boring, but we don't have enough time to really understand each one.

I don't know if it will last long enough, but Debra has to be let in eventually, and Quinn as well if they stay together. He's too likable to be killed off and too suspicious to remain completely ignorant. Debra even said she wished the vigilante was her (sort of) which was too obvious of a line. I don't know if Lumen will play his willing scapegoat or partner in crime, but I'm guessing the latter. And of course the kiddo was born in blood too, so he's going to start roasting ants with a magnifying glass before you know it. And I think in the books Astor and Cody start killing people, and there's some insane plotline with an actual supernatural molochian blood god or some wacky [expletive]. Hopefully it ends with some dignity and soon. Also, this season is the best one in a while.
