I have 2 episodes left in season 2, then I'll get through season 3 well before 4 arrives. It's great stuff.

anybody heard anything about Season 3 on Blu-Ray?

I've been waiting patiently to buy it (have seen the first two seasons), and I don't want to get them on DVD just to buy them later.

Time to clear some DVR space.
Thanks for the heads up. I was on the verge of picking up the seasons on dvd. Hell, I still might.

To JL's point about the writing in Dexter, just watched the episode where Astor comes back
[SHOW]
I've always taken the appearances of his father to represent his conscience, or a way to show the wheels spinning in his head. Doesn't make a lot of sense for his conscience to say he might have been wrong about Dexter and claim that he's proud of Dexter for helping someone, which Dexter then takes to heart as if it were a real compliment. Unless we're meant to think Dexter is insane, which hasn't seemed to be the case.

Apart from that I thought it was the best episode since season 1

dexter:
[SHOW]
i think it's more dexter realizing that he should be proud of himself, and realizing that he doesn't HAVE to be the monster. his "father" is just his way of telling himself that.

The only thing I didn't like about it was
[SHOW]
the Commodore, Jimmy, and Eli gathering to conspire against Nucky. You know what it reminded me of?
