better. he was hovering between 86-88 for the two innings he pitched. it's not good, but it was an improvement.
Don't forget him topping out at 112 mph.

I saw that. Made me wonder. Teams are never above tinkering with the gun to raise hopes. Not saying they intentionally set it that high, but that they were messing with it.

That's just the stalker sport radar gun acting up, mine does it all the time, I get the 111, 113, 117 readings. It gets frustrating.

Could I use this info to get out of a ticket?

I wish I knew, I haven't had a speeding ticket since '94.

Details of his demise may be exaggerated....

" Mark Prior was more impressive Thursday, allowing just a first-inning run in four frames against the Padres.
Prior's velocity got better as the start went on, and he hit 90 mph on the gun a couple of times during the second half of the start. He also appeared to have his best curveball so far this spring. The performance is unlikely to get him a rotation spot to open the season, but it leads to more hope that he'll contribute sometime within the first month."

according to the announcers and the TV gun he sat in the low 90s for most of the start, hitting 93. Im skeptical.

Prior was at his best in the 92-94 range, so that's a really, really good sign.
