I don't think Edmonds has fallen THAT far. Just two years ago, he ran up a .918 OPS. Last year was the first time in the 21st century he'd had lower than a .900 OPS and even then, he was at .821 (which is still better than Encarnacion).

I think Edmonds rebounds a bit this year. Call me crazy, but he's to the point where people think they can relax on him and they really can't.

Still, .947 against righties in 2006. Just let him have his rest against lefties. Hobbling, double-vision Edmonds was 60 points of OPS better than Juan last year, further decline?

I don't know if he'll fall to Encarnacion levels, but the trend of the last few years, age, and wear & tear aren't working in Edmonds' favor. I'd be surprised if he bounced back, but then I'm a Cubs fan so I'm supposed to go retarded about now.

You're wrong. 2005 was a very good year. He was the best center fielder in baseball (again) and was a better hitter than Andruw Jones, who was MVP runner up.

I think Edmonds will have a great year. He has alway been one of the most under rated players in baseball.
