LoDuca can handle the bat got the man over and they drew blood first
Cards nbr 2 man power/k hit into a DP--Pujols comes and a lines a double with 2 outs and nobody on.
Who ever made out the lineup has to take a lot of the blame IMO
What makes me wish Wainwright was starting vrs the Mets tomorrow night.
*grabs some popcorn* This ought to be good.

LoDuca bunting was an awful, awful decision.

I'm guessing that these are the games that come back to bite you in September.

I'm sure Kip Wells error had nothing to do with Reyes scoring. If only we had a Lo Duca at the plate that could induce E1's.
Also, Duncan went 2-for-4 and put Pujols in a position to tie the game with his bat. I don't think our #2 hitter was the problem tonight.

I'm thinking the Cards' shoddy defense set the tone for the night. Whoever put Kip on the mound and Schumaker in right deserves the blame. And if that happens to be the same man who put Duncan in the number 2 spot...well, I say we organize our first Gatewayredbirds sponsored lynching.

Clearly, LaRussa had a .094 BAC tonight, and it affected his decisions and deserves to be fired.

I look at it like this. . . we are working on one of our mandatory losing streaks that comes with winning it all. Need at least three of them, might as well get one out of the way early.

In all seriousness, I'll say this: We've faced a pretty good 1-2 punch as far as pitchers go to start the year, and while the Cards haven't had too many meaningful base knocks, they've had their chances and have gotten some hits.
I'll say this: If John Maine shuts down this team for the third day in a row, then and only then will I worry about the offense.

I think our fears about the offense are definitely showing up yes?
More sloppy, stupid baseball tonight. Very weird the way this thing has unfolded after two games.
