Man, I was pretty close...one more run, one less inning.Phyrkrakr wrote:Reverse that.brats&beer wrote:3 runs in 6 innings.
How's about that for a first start for Weaver?

Re: Weaver proves his worth (about zero)
Weaver is one of the biggest idiots to come down the pike in some time. I don't know if he just let Boras do his thinking for him or if he is just his own worst enemy. Giving up 2 years of Dunc and adoring fans who will not soon forget his post season heroics for one year in the Big League outback that is Seattle. Give me a f-in break.wart57 wrote:Dave Duncan is teh clutchCardHawk wrote:Forgive if this is doubled somewhere...
Seven runs in two innings against Boston, according to the Mariner's Web site. He was yanked after "a rough debut" according to the folks of MLB.com. Sure looks like a good thing we let him walk. I mean, I know it's early, and I know it's the Red Sox, but jeeze. This one will sting for Weaver for a while.
Mr. Weaver, I fart in your general direction.

He better start saving. If his one year contract ends as badly as it started, he's not going to get very much money next year... or the rest of his career.mcgee51taguchi99 wrote:A quite wealthy idiot to boot!boiseCardsFan wrote:Weaver is one of the biggest idiots to come down the pike in some time.

Jeff Sackman wrote something on this last week at THT. I think I am going to try and do that next year as a second or third league.maddash wrote:I had the idea of doing a bizzaro fanasty league, where you pick players who you think will do terribly. Things like earned runs, walks, and loses would be counted for pitchers, and strikeouts, errors and GDP would be counted for hitters.
Weaver would be a first round draft pick, for sure.

Superstars would be those bad enough to be amazingly bad, but good enough to keep playing.
